Red Velvet
Hello World!!! And welcome to the wonderful, vibrant world of Red Velvet, our featured artist here at FreeSixVideo.com for this week!
Some introduction if you are new to K-pop, this phenomenal five-member girl group under SM Entertainment is the absolute best place to start. Formed in 2014, Red Velvet is famous for their unique musical concept divided into two sides: their “Red” side, which is bright, bouncy, and bubbly pop, and their “Velvet” side, which is smooth, sultry, and R&B-inspired. The group consists of five exceptionally talented members:
- Irene: Bae Joo-hyun (배주현)
- Seulgi: Kang Seul-gi (강슬기)
- Wendy: Son Seung-wan (손승완)
- Joy: Park Soo-young (박수영)
- Yeri: Kim Ye-rim (김예림)
Let’s dive right into the free six video of their most iconic music videos to kickstart your K-pop journey! Here is our free six video of Red Velvet!
Bad Boy
Kicking things off with an absolute fan favorite, “Bad Boy” is the crown jewel of Red Velvet’s sleek “Velvet” concept. This track leans heavily into a hip-hop-infused RnB vibe with a sultry, badass atmosphere that captivated global audiences instantly. A fun and sexy fact about this era is that the members wore matching tailored suits and bold, sultry makeup looks that redefined girl crush standards, and Seulgi actually practiced her sharp, crisp choreography angles until late into the night to nail that iconic opening shoulder-roll move.
Psycho
If there is one song that showcases Red Velvet’s theatrical and hauntingly gorgeous side, it is “Psycho”. This track blends a velvety urban pop sound with classical string arrangements, creating an unforgettable fairytale-gone-wrong aesthetic. A cute and fascinating detail behind the music video is that the members dressed like glamorous gothic princesses, and despite the eerie, dark theme of the song lyrics about a chaotic romance, the girls had a blast behind the scenes joking around and taking goofy selfies in their elaborate ball gowns.
Russian Roulette
Switching gears completely to their vibrant “Red” side, “Russian Roulette” is a synth-pop explosion of color, quirky beats, and retro visuals. The music video features the girls in a pastel-hued hotel setting playing mischievously cute, cartoonish pranks on one another with oversized game props. A fun fact about this era is that their iconic, neon-bright orange hair styling for Seulgi and Joy became a massive beauty trend in South Korea, and the catchy “heart-stopping” hand choreography became an instant viral dance challenge across the internet.
Peek-A-Boo
“Peek-A-Boo” is a deliciously eerie upbeat track that proves mystery can look incredibly stylish. In the music video, the members play a cool, slightly mischievous group of modern witches living in a mansion who hunt down delivery boys—though thankfully just for fun! A cute behind-the-scenes fact is that despite playing stoic, mysterious characters on camera, the girls spent their breaks playing board games and laughing uncontrollably, proving that their real-life dynamic is total sunshine and warmth.
Red Flavor
When summer hits in the K-pop world, “Red Flavor” is the anthem that everyone plays. This bright, high-energy dance track tastes just like a cool tropical cocktail on a hot day. Each member was assigned a specific fruit and a corresponding vibrant color concept for this comeback. Irene was red watermelon and she is my personal favorite 🙂 Yeri was grape, Seulgi was pineapple, Joy was watermelon, and Wendy was orange. A cute fact about the music video is that the giant fruit headpieces and colorful tropical outfits were chosen to make the choreography pop visually, capturing a cheerful, high-spirited vibe that instantly lifts your mood.
Ice Cream Cake
Let’s wrap up our free six video list with the sweet and whimsical track that officially introduced Yeri as the group’s fifth and final member: “Ice Cream Cake”! This double-title release helped cement Red Velvet’s early identity with its eerie music box intro transitioning into a bouncy, catchy pop beat. A cute and iconic fact about this video is that the girls filmed parts of it in the desert of California, matching their platinum blonde hairstyles that became legendary among fans worldwide. It is a sugary-sweet classic that captures their youthful charm at its absolute finest.
